Let's Talk Toys!
Let’s Talk about what your toy is made of! Please feel free to contact me if you need any help picking the right one out for you or if you have questions!
The first thing you should consider when selecting a toy is the material that is right for you. Each type has some advantages and disadvantages. Not to mention if you have ANY sensitivities or are prone to infections there are some types that are just a better choice then others. The material affects the way a toy feels, the amount of effort to maintain and clean, the life of the toy and also how your body reacts to the toy! The best way to choice a type of toy is to attend one of my parties and actually hold the different ones in you hand! This way you know BEFORE you get it home!
Hard plastic: Many people when they purchase their first vibe buy one of hard plastic. The material makes the vibration very strong and it is non-porous so it is easy to clean and keep clean. Many of the hard plastic toys are loud. When purchasing a hard plastic vibe be sure to check it out for seams. If the toy has seems run your finger over them as hard plastic seams can be sharp. Placing a cotton ball in where the batteries go if you need to muffle the sound of the toy.
Silicone: This one is tricky! I LOVE silicon toys but it is very important to know how much is silicon! The BEST silicon brand is Tantus. I carry Tantus toys in my catalog and they are amazing. Their toys are a special blend and are considered medical grade silicon! Being 100% silicon they can go in the dishwasher, be boiled, and will last a long time. Silicon can be great for people who tend to have UTI’s or other infections as they are easily sterilized after use! Some silicones have softeners in them called phialates. You can normally tell because these have the “new shower curtain” smell. Any item in my catty that has PF next to it means it will NOT have any of them chemicals in it!!!
Glass: It WONT break inside you!!! Glass can be such a fun amazing toy! They are again a great material for anyone with sensitivities! They are easily cleaned and sterilized, either in boiling water, Dish washer, and they can even be bleached. Glass toys are considered “green”. They are going to last along time and require no batteries. You can add a simple vibrating cock ring to one to kick it up! Glass is also an amazing way to try sensation play. You can heat it up in water or cool it in the fridge/freeze.
Jelly: Jelly toys normally feel softer and can feel more “life like”. The problem with Jelly is many of them are loaded with chemicals. Sorry it has been so long!!
UPDATES UPDATES!!
I am soooooooo Sorry I have not posted in a while! So a lot is going on personally and with the business! I have had a lot of great parties and been super busy! Please at any time shoot me an email about something you want me to blog about!! Let me give you some Updates!
I recently found a lot of my old friends on face book! When I first went on that site I was very iffy about it now I am addicted! If you are not on my Face book page please add me!! Look me up under email address fyphudsonvalley@yahoo.com! It is so important to let go of the past grudges and move on with a future with old friends!
I also have the information to put in place a better email newsletter! So make sure if you want to be on my email list that you email me to let me know! I plan on setting it up to go out at the First Sunday of every month.
I am only a couple weeks away from my Convention in NH! I am Super excited! Convention is a huge deal to me. I get to go meet so many of my FYP brothers and sisters from ALL over the US! Not to mention I get to see some AMAZING speakers!
Also after convention I will prob have new items and new information to share with you all!! I will HAVE to do a post convention blog! I love being an IBA with For You Pleasure! It has had a huge impact on my life! After convention I think I am going to work on doing a lot of the ideas I have in my head for my business! When you love what you do you cant wait to do it!
Oh! I was able to be apart of a great conference call with Ducky Doolittle. For you who do not know she is one of the biggest influences on me right now. She is a very special, smart and just all around extraordinary person. Please look her up she is on myspace, face book, u-tube, tweeter, and she does a pod cast. Google her!! Lets Flirt!!
Hey everyone!! Sorry it has been a while between posts. I had a lot of great parties in Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, and Highland NY causing me to over looked posting a new blog!! I want to talk a little about flirting and teasing! Yes I may sell actual sex toys but I also carry a variety of lotions, potions, and other items that can really be more about setting the mood, creating the atmosphere, flirting, or teasing each other. Single Women- Go out and flirt with a stranger. Not at the typical bar but some where else… the grocery store, the gym or even at work.
Single Men- Let a lady know you think she is noticeable! Do not do the cheesy pick up lines but a little flirting would be great. Remember that flirting does not have to be sexual it is just about showing that you notice them. Open a door for someone and smile (even better if you were not even going in or out the door when you do it)
What is the difference between flirting and teasing?
Flirting is about getting someone attention and creating a stirring. Flirting can be friendly in nature and innocent. When people flirt it creates a playful feel good mood. A lot of people are proud to call them selves a flirt but would never call them selves a tease. Married Female- Very! OMG! I sort of let some flirting go a little too far recently and "Almost" had an affair with my personal trainer. Thank God he was man enough to stop us. My marriage wasn't dull, but there's no attention, no little flirty remarks, teasing, and this caused me to look else where. I've had a huge talk with my husband and confessed EVERYTHING and we're getting over it all and there's more attention now and yes, I feel like a complete child for even thinking of cheating on my husband, but I didn't and to understand my situation a little bit more, I've only been with one man my whole life and that's my husband. Never dated anyone else and this was sort of like a New Me! It felt so good to get attention from other men and now, I know I have to keep it under control but it's so much FUN!! HAHA
Renee Lynn- Definitely. I don't think things that you did when you just started dating should fade away because you get closer and stay together longer. Dating was so much fun, so why stop? I think your long term guy deserves all the special treatment he got at the beginning. Granted things get harder when you have work and bills and live together, but taking just a small amount of time to do something you know makes them smile could improve their day a thousand times over.

Renee Lynn- I love to send Joe tempting text messages since he's so far away. For example I'll just send him a text saying something like, "I'm wearing your favorite thong today". I love how he gets all frustrated because I'm so far away, but it will all make up for it when he comes home. Teasing my husband is so much fun.
Married female- I love flirting at the gym! Well, more of a tease at the gym. I'm taken, so I'll flaunt myself around, then when they come up to me, wanting to talk, I'm like "Yea...I'm doing pretty good... Wanted to come do a quick workout before I go do lunch with my hubby." Then they have that look on their face like "Oh crap!" lol I like the attention mostly! I never had that before, and now, I get it all the time. Makes me feel conceited sometimes!

Porn Porn Porn! Not just for the men!!
This is another double Standard I have come across in relationship to sex topics and gender. In many cases people find it natural and expected for a man to enjoy porn in it’s many forms where women are supposedly disgusted with it. This is NOT true!! I want to discuss these double standards and some different areas that feed into it.
When you flip through the magazines in the Adult section of a store you always see Playboy, Penthouse, and many others that are similar in nature. You may only find one type that has men in it like Play Girl. Even in TV shows they always talk about men in liking Porn and it causing problems with girl friends or wives. This is a stereotype that yes is true in some cases but not all. A lot of women have no problem with their male Counter part enjoying porn and in many cases they them selves enjoy it also.
What are some of the most common types of porn?
Well the porn magazines that are best known are Playboy, Playgirl and Pent House. These magazines are full of pictures some articles and Bio’s. There are also many magazines that are just written Erotica. Magazines are items that a person buys once and can keep or toss whenever they feel fit. They can be sent as a subscription or bought at stores as individuals. Many magazines if kept in good condition become collectables. Mind you only ones in good condition are worth saving as collectables… ones that show use should not be shared with others! LOL
Now that we are in the age of computers we also have a lot of Porn sites. These sites in some cases have videos, chats, stories, and pictures. One that I know is very popular is www.literotica.com. Many of these sites you must register for. Some areas may be free such as user chats and stories. Where as other areas you must pay for such as Movies, Web cams, or Personals. These memberships are normally monthly. Unlike a magazine when you pay for a website you don’t really get a tangible item you can keep and store. People have to be very careful in respect to what Porn websites and areas they access as many of these sites have hackers on them or viruses.

Bi-Sexuality and Double standards!
Lets Talk about Bi-Sexuality!
This is a topic that is very interesting to me. It seems that in general women being bisexual is expected and the idea of a bisexual man is not as accepted. I want to talk a little to you about Bisexuality and the double standard connected to it.
Lets start by talking about Bisexuality and Bi-Curiosity in general. Even thought these terms are very close they can have total different meanings.
A person who is Bi-Curious is sexually curious about being with a person of either sex or just having an attraction to them. When a person is Bi-curious it does not mean that they would want a relationship with a person of either gender it is just a curiosity.
Bisexual’s are sexually attracted to both sexes, may or may not have interest in a relationship with either gender, and has acted on or fully embraces their attraction to each gender. Being Bi for many is more acceptable then being Gay/Lesbian.
Now let me talk about the double standard connected to Bi-sexuality. Women are encouraged to explore being Bi. It is almost expect for a women to in one point in her life to have thought of… or have acted on being with another women. Many men have fantasies of their female lover being with another women. Some men do feel that if a woman is with another girl it is not cheating but if she is with a man it is. Women are even encouraged in many public bars by the other patrons to kiss or fondle another female. Even places such as strip clubs feed into this double standard as they allow women to enter female strip clubs for free but charge the men. (Men are not allowed to enter male strip clubs/events for free)
The true cannot be said for a man. In many cases if a man shows attraction to men even if he is attracted to women also he is labeled Gay (normally not in such a nice term) Society is very hard on a man who are attracted to both genders. Bisexuality in men is many times hidden or not acted on and kept solely as a curiosity. The saddest part is that many men could truly enjoy their experience with another man but will not allow them selves that freedom to explore. Where as a FMF encounter is accepted and encouraged MMF are not received the same way, especially if there is M-to-M play.
To me this double standard is Heart Breaking! I personally feel that you cannot choose who you are attracted to it comes naturally. Society is unfair when it comes to many topics related to sex and this is just one of the hypercritical double standards. Sexuality is an important part of who each of us are and should not have to be hidden or changed based on the views of an outspoken majority. Everyone should have the freedom to explore their own sexuality however they feel fit with out fear or labels or retaliation.

Intimacy
Lets talk about Intimacy!
A lot of people assume that to be intimate with a person you have to be sexual or that when you are sexual with someone you are being intimate, which is not true.
The most clear cut explanation I can give is that a sexual contact or relationship is about being physical where intimacy is more emotional and mental. I am not saying that having a sexual relationship with out intimacy is wrong I just want to guide people on how to create intimacy.
Intimacy by definition is the close connection that is created through an intense relationship, knowledge and experience together. For true intimacy to occur there must be communication, understanding and reciprocation.

In many cases one or both people in a relationship have a fear of intimacy. Maybe they have been hurt by someone or seen someone emotionally scared by a person they loved. That does not mean they can never have intimacy it means that they may need a little more of the communication and understanding part of it!

Ground Yourself- this exercise is almost like mediation your mind and energy has to be in the right set. Make your partner comfortable- what are some things that will relax your partner… a hot uninterrupted bath? Make sure they are in a position that is comfortable for them.
Set the Mood- keep the lighting soft and the temperature comfortable. If you play music make sure it is low and non-distracting, maybe use music with out words or nature sounds. Setting the mood affects the whole feeling!!
Suggest eyes closed- when a person has their eyes closed or blind folded they can concentrate more on the touch and less on their own self conscious feelings.
Take your partner in- look non-judgmentally at your partner. They are showing them selves to you and letting their personal guards down to you appreciate all that they are sharing with you.
Talk about what you love on your partner- Tell your partner about the parts of their body you love… try not to focus just on the obvious talk about how you love the curve of their elbow or there ears or something that you love that maybe others would not notice.
Begin to touch- you can start touch at any part of their body (as this is about intimacy not just sex try not to start on their genitals) start with the lightest touch you can do. The author compared it to the whisper of touches.
Pay close attention- as you touch your partner watch their reaction their movements, noises they make. Also pay attention to the way it feels to you. How different areas are soft, bumpy, bony, fleshy or where there are scars. Enjoy the feeling of their body as they are truly sharing and trusting themselves in your hands.
Touch with more then just fingers- use the back of your hand the palm, If you have long hair some people love the feeling of their lovers hair on them
Experiment with types of touch- you can touch like taps, dragging your finger or hand, lightly use your nails as a gentle scratch, tickle with your hair… judge it by your lovers reaction to what you do.
Play with the intensity of touch- go from the whisper touch to a fuller deeper touch, do not do this drastically change it slowly almost so that it blends and is not noticeable
Add more touch-use more them one hand or body part at a time
Tips:
Energy level- do not be to bouncy it is important to keep the mood sensual and loving this is about being connected and being relaxed
Not about orgasm- this is not about achieving an orgasm or giving one. It is about that connection that is created and felt. An orgasm is not key in all physical connection with your lover. Your goal is satisfaction and relaxation for your lover.

Sex Drive
Well I have been talking to a lot of people and reading articles about all types of issues. On thing that came to light for me that surprised me I HAVE to share!
Did you know that American men actually in general have lower sex drives? It is not talked about as much. It is one of our kept secrets.
It amazes me how stereotypes can actually be proven to be 100% wrong. People always believe that if a couple is not having sex it is because of the women. A lot of women have an equal or higher sex drive then men. They just are not as vocal about it due to society labeling women who have a sexual appetite negatively. So ladies if you fall in this category please do not be afraid that you are a freak, cause you may feel like a minority but there are A LOT of women that feel they same way you do!
I want to go over some tips for anyone who has a higher drive then their partner!!
First please remember that a rejection to sexual activity is NOT a rejection to you! A lot of things can affect a person’s sex drive. I know that when my sexual advances have been met with rejection I always felt like “What’s wrong with me?” Honestly we all need to stop blaming our selves!
The largest killer of sex drive is STRESS! When a person is focusing on a lot of different things it makes it hard to loosen up enough to be into sex. Sex is not just a physical act it is very much mental and emotional. Even in NSA (no strings attached) relationships or encounters. For one or both people to truly enjoy the experiences they have to have their head in it!
Remember that if something doesn’t work do not keep doing it. If you keep wearing out fits and it is not getting a reaction don’t keep trying the same thing. Sometimes if you back off and let your partner come to you it will help. Also do not be as eager. Maybe reject them once in a while (not in a negative way) that way they have to pursue you. Sometimes that kicks the drive in motion.
Look at what has changed. Did something change around when your partner’s drive did? Did you use to write each other note, was it more spontaneous and now you plan it? Try to do the things that changed and see if it helps. If you now do not have a lot of spontaneous time then plan some (I know oxy moron). You can plan on someone taking the kids out of the blue (or at least out of the blue to your partner).
Remember to be intimate not just sexual. The two are NOT interchangeable! Maybe that will be my next post!! Learning to reach intimacy with out intercourse!

Lube!!! Got to have it!!
I want to talk to you about Lube!
Ok I have to admit before I became an IBA lube was something I NEVER even thought about using. Now that I have learned about it more and have used it I LOVE it!
Lube can make bad sex good and good sex amazing!!
There are so many typed of lube on the market and it is VERY important to find the right one for you. Lube is not only great for partner play but also Solo. There are a lot of items that are forms of lubrications. I want to talk to you about a couple types along with tell you how I personally feel about a few of them.

Here are some of my personal tips for you about lube!!
If you are sexually active with a man Flavored lube and a sleeve can bee a great way to kick things up! The sleeve makes his shaft feel great and takes more of the shaft then you personally may be able to. Leaving the head and tip of the shaft as a place to focus. Plus the flavor makes it yummy. Water Base Lubes are great for individuals with sensitivities. They normally do not have the sticky feel to them and are gentle for people who have allergies or reactions to many other chemicals.
Silicone Lube is more coating. It will keep the area very moist and slippery. It does not break down in water so it is great for bath play. (Please be careful, as it will make the tub slippery also) I LOVE this type!!
Warming Lube is suppose to create a warm sensation along with its lubrication. Please try a little of this on your own before sex play as this is an item that not everyone reacts the same to and many do not enjoy the feeling in actuality even though they enjoy the idea of it! If you do not like the feeling you can use a little bit of vegetable oil to get it off your skin. (How ever make sure you wash right after!!)
Flavored Lubes: These are great for partner play. They can make oral sex feel better for the receiver and taste better for the giver =}. Please just be aware that the Flavored lube you use is sugar free. If using this on a women if the sugar is not FULLY cleaned up it can cause bacterial and yeast infections.
I want to also let you know that when using condoms do not use any Oil based products or lotions!! It actually will put wholes in your condoms. Wholes that you wont see but sperm can get through!!

My Coaching Call with Ducky
Hello!
I wanted to tell you all some things that are going on! Last night I had the privilege of having a conference call with Ducky, (Ducky Doolittle aka DeDe Prince) I am adding a link to her pod cast on the side of my blog. Please check her out.
Ducky has become like one of my biggest role models. She is a woman that has survived a lot of crap in her life and still keeps her head up, has confidence in her self and works daily to help all types of people in all walks of life. She is not only a sex educator but also works on the front line to help victims of rape to make sure they have a voice. She supports many groups and has passion in all the things she does. She really wants to be the voice for the people that are going through what she went through that don’t have a voice, or do not know they can have a voice. Her life may have had A LOT of bumps and turns but she has taken all that and turned it into a way to help others. She opens her self up to the world not to create a Pitty me but to say Fuck you bad shit! I am a survivor and I am going to show others how to tell you to fuck off!
Talking to Ducky is amazing she really helps you to understand your self and she never judges you. She has a way of listening to your words and you as a person instead of just hearing you. Lol and if anyone messes with her I will kick their butts!
I want to talk to you all about some of the stuff we spoke about. The great thing about doing FYP is I get to learn a lot of great things that I get to share with others. I love doing the parties. Yes the retail sales are a form of income but the best part is knowing that I can help some one learn about them selves or their lover. I am not just a toy sales lady I am Sex Educator. Every day I find ways to educate myself more so that my customers can ask and confided in me. If I do not have the answer I will use the amazing network connected with FYP to find the answers!

We went over four major points 1. Confidence 2.Sales vs. Education 3.Surviving and coping with rape and 4. Pain during sex (an issue someone brought to my attention that I needed help addressing)
Confidence –I tend to try to be upbeat and able to do presentations but some times my confidence is low when I am with a group I don’t know or when I am giving information that has words that I tend to butcher. Ducky helped me to understand that being nervous is normal and confidence grows with each word you say. She gave me tips on how to say the words I butcher and also ways to find the right vocabulary for me. That the best way to be confidant in front of people is to be true to who you are and be sincere!
Sales Vs. Education- I really do not want to be someone that just is like here buy this vibe it feels good. I want to learn how to educate people on why it feels good and how to find confidence and pleasure with them selves and each other. I want to truly be an Educator first that does sales on the side =] Ducky told me how what I do now is getting me closer to that. That myself and the other FYP girls are truly Grass roots sex Educators. We are going to homes and places and sharing information that people my not necessarily know how to attain. Every party I do helps me grow as a sex Educator because every party I learn about more people and that they have experienced. Being a sex educator is also about being a friend.
Surviving rape- Rape is a horrible thing to have to deal with. Because it stays with a person and affects their life in many ways every day after the act is done. I Personally I am a rape survivor. With my rape I though I had protected my self by being in a public area and I was wrong. A man raped me as people walked past and know No one stopped it, people saw the act but did not see the crime. My rape happened over 8 years ago but it has changed a lot in my day-to-day life. I went through stages as we all do that were part of my grieving. I did not have someone like Ducky fighting for my rights as a victim. I was in a different country with people telling me it was not in my best interest to press charges and if I did I would lose. I know now why they pushed me that way and it was not because they wanted to “spare me a trial” they did not want the bad publicity and the ramifications of an American teen being rapped in a bar in front of people and no one stopping it. Now I can use that negative experience to help others and prove to my self that I am a survivor! A lot of the things I thought were weird reactions that I had to my rape Ducky explained were normal and why they were normal.
Pain during sex- someone had told me about an issue they were having that I did not know how to help with. They could not have sex because it has become painful and her body will not allow penetration. After talking to Ducky and the person that is having the pain we have found a way she can work on getting her back to her old self were if she wanted to have sex she could pain free. What is happening in her case is after having surgery that was very traumatizing to her body her body has started to have like a PTSD. They body shuts down because of the pain it had endured at another time. With the help of Ducky I am going to help this person learn to find peace with her body again and be able to allow her self to feel pleasure instead of pain.
